Biography Mason Trail was born on December 29, 1987 in Lake Charles Louisiana. He is a zydeco accordionist and singer. He is the grandson of Boozoo Chavis, who is a major influence in his music, with other influences like traditional zydeco and country music. He got his start in zydeco at a very young age learning to play the accordion at the age of 10. He then had a passion to learn how to play the bass guitar. He finally purchased one in 2005 soon after hurricane Rita and sat in the lobby of the hotel he and his family evacuated to and began to teach himself After becoming familiar with the bass he and his cousins formed The Dog Hill Stompers Zydeco Band. They traveled to places across the country spreading and sharing their talents with friends and fans. In May of 2016 Mason lost his older brother Quincy in a single vehicle accident ( he was also a member of the Dog Hill Stompers Band). Mason then chose to keep his brothers passion for the music alive which sparked him to create the band Mason Trail and Zydeco Rhythm. Zydeco Rhythm has a repertoire of modern zydeco along with traditional authentic zydeco. Mason plans to travel the world to spread his good music just as his grandfather did. for booking email us at mason.trail@yahoo.com
